The m40a3 was my first time working with Ptex as an alternative way to paint and texture my models.It resulted in me not being able to render it with my software and not being able to create texture maps to put onto a low poly model. I designed it to be very similar to an original m40a3 but also changed some parts (receiver) to match the one I have at home as reference. Made in Maya and Sculpted and painted in Mudbox. Animated bolt and bullet done in Maya. High Poly model only due to Ptex not working how I thought it would. Learn something every day.
